that's how we get it right.

so
i met donald miller tonight, no big deal. (via jon morrison, whose book i wrote the foreword for).
and then i went for dinner with allana and cameron, to say peace.
and then i came home and realized that kaleo's tomorrow and i haven't done a lot of the paperwork and i don't know where my criminal record check is. i saw it yesterday. i put it somewhere. it's gone. everyone's asleep. i'd better find it tomorrow.

still...
so stoked.

the direction of upright.

first blog entry on my new macbook pro! and, perhaps, the last blog entry for themoreyoushowme on blogspot. kaleo starts just over a day, and with this new chapter in my life, i figure a new blog may be warranted. i'm excited for all the story that's going to come out of the next year. i think there'll be more than i think there'll be. get your head around that one.

the past week's been pretty sweet. hung out with paddy from ireland for the first four days after camp, and from there it's been a series of epic nights after another, between yet another horizons trip with megan, jake, and cam... a midnight visit from tj... epic hike with chris (and awkward encounter with inebriated teachers from my high school accompanying this)... improv show and coffee sesh with paul... some unmentionable and unforgettable antics... and i'll be meeting don miller tomorrow! i'm stoked.

also, where this summer was the best summer i've had as far as concerts go (paramore, no doubt, blink 182, switchfoot, hanging out with jon foreman, the fray, jack's mannequin), this fall promises to be the best i've had for new releases. i have devoured every track i've heard off of it, and cannot wait for the deluxe edition... yeah, i'm that core. and! the new relient k stuff sounds fantastic - the title track forget and not slow down pretty much sums up both the album feel as well as the stage of life i'm kind of at. and well, after me and tim's switchfoot adventure, how could i not be stoked for hello hurricane?
